Bang & Olufsen High-tech & Luxury

Few hi-fi companies can claim a heritage that goes all the way back to 1925. Bang & Olufsen was founded in Struer, Denmark, in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, two innovative, young engineers devoted to high quality audio reproduction.

Since then, the brand has become an icon of performance and design excellence through its long-standing craftsmanship tradition and the strongest possible commitment to high-tech research and development.

In exclusivity, Luxury Media Africa selected two outstanding products of Bang & Olufsen!

Following the successful reception of BeoVision Avant 55, Bang & Olufsen now introduces the BeoVision Avant 85, an ambitious upscale of the popular format, which magnifies the unique features and combines them with an impressive display size.

The new flagship television displays Ultra High-Definition (4K) picture and the renowned Bang & Olufsen sound in one elegantly designed and beautifully crafted TV experience.

To reduce the physical presence of BeoVision Avant 85, you will be able to let this 85-inch TV stand out or blend into your interior thanks to both a motorised stand and a wall bracket option.

Once you switch it on it shows off its full potential through a carefully choreographed unfolding. Touch one button on BeoRemote One, and it finds your favourite position, your favourite channel, your favourite sound setting. When you switch it off, it folds back the speakers, and returns to its discrete resting place close up against the wall.

The 85-inch version of BeoVision Avant features cutting-edge direct type LED with 2D local back light dimming. The result is in an even more refined picture quality, bringing the true power of the cinema straight to your living room.

With eight integrated driver units and a surround sound module BeoVision Avant 85 provides sound performance unlike any other TV. The integrated 3-channel speaker solution with both centre channel and stereo at the same time, means you will get exceptionally good stereo performance with optimized speech reproduction and sufficient bass to satisfy your wishes when watching the most extreme sports or action footage with crystal sharp, dynamic precision.

However, if you wish to extend the sound solution up to a full 7.1 surround solution this is possible, and even wireless, as the TV incorporates the Immaculate Wireless Sound concept.

To top it all off, the new BeoRemote One can handle all relevant non-Bang & Olufsen equipment such as game consoles, Hard Disk recorders, Apple TV etc., and offers personalized buttons.

Once again, Bang & Olufsen leapfrogged the whole speaker industry with an engineering design so advanced and so imaginative that it leaves everyone else in the dust.

The BeoLab 5 might be one of the most radical, complex and elaborate loudspeakers ever made. Clever styling is still an important ingredient, but performance and innovation were clearly equally high on the design agenda.

In building the Beolab 5, Bang & Olufsen has used several different complementary technologies, the most interesting being the use of acoustic lens technology developed in America.

The use of acoustic lenses on the treble and mid-range speakers enables the sound to be delivered through a 180 degree angle in the horizontal plane. This ensures optimum sound experience regardless of the loudspeaker’s position, and when coupled with B&O’s new Adaptive Bass Control system, the picture is complete the speakers can be placed anywhere in a room and will adapt to provide optimum sound reproduction.

To top it all off, the BeoLab 5 sound can be optimised for any space by pressing a button at the top of the loudspeaker which then calibrates and adapts to the surroundings within two minutes.

The BeoLab 5 is a remarkable and genuinely revolutionary loudspeaker which has set a new standard in sound delivery.
