Tintswalo Teams Up With Chefs Warehouse To Host Three Culinary Weekends This Winter

Fancy a fun weekend away with fellow food-lovers at beautiful Tintswalo Boulders,  complete with interactive cooking and dining with the chefs of the award-winning Chefs Warehouse family, and paired with superb wines by Idiom?

Three culinary weekends will be presented during which gourmands will have a masterclass and personal interaction with the talented head chefs of Liam Tomlin’s Chefs Warehouse. Guests will enjoy delicious dinners with wine pairings and Tintswalo’s legendary breakfasts, dished up at Tintswalo at Boulders in Simon’s Town.

These weekends will be all about food and wine, including hands-on activities such as learning the intricacies of sushi-making while enjoying sundowner canapés on Friday evening. Saturday will bring an interesting fish preparation demo by Abalobi followed by a light lunch; onto wine tasting at Tintswalo’s brand new Deep South Supply Company in nearby Glencairn, hosted by talented Sommelier Jabu Ngwenya. On Saturday afternoon the focus will turn to the Chefs Warehouse team with a masterclass led by the guest chef preparing for the dinner service.

Kicking off on a spicy note the weekend of 25 & 26 June, Chef Nate Coe of Thali will share the secrets of the Indian fare that have made Thali famous. On 23 & 24 July Chef Gordon Logan of Chefs Warehouse Winebar & Pinchos will unveil the essence of preparing Spanish pinchos. Chef Braam Beyers of Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo, recently voted one of the best new restaurants in the world by Condé Nast Traveller, ends the series on 13 & 14 August with the creation of big flavours on small plates.

Weekend packages are available from R5500 per person sharing, and include 2 nights’ luxury accommodation with all meals, wine pairing with dinners, food demos and a wine-tasting. Optional extras include relaxing massages or marine activities with Shark Warrior Adventures, such as snorkelling through the kelp forests and kayaking.
