The biggest names from Bordeaux and South Africa are available on the upcoming Strauss & Co Virtual Live Auction taking place on Sunday, 26 March at 11am.
These Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc based wines offer a finesse and power unlike any other, producing some of the most sought-after wines in the world. Many top vintages from Bordeaux are on offer, such as 1959, 1961, 1982 and 1989, all of which are in terrific condition today.
Four vintages of Cheval Blanc are line-up spanning 26 years. In fact, the Bordeaux First Growths are truly on show from various vintages, as well as rare Pomerol in Le Pin and Petrus! Most of the wines on offer are now 10-20 years old, and in a terrific drinking window where the fruit and tannins are still vibrant.
The South African line-up also includes the big names wines from Kanonkop, Thelema, Glenelly, Mvemve Raats, Keet, Vilafonté and Meerlust. We highlight many top wines from the 2015 vintage, widely regarded as the greatest modern-day South African vintage.
